The Lost Lovers Ball
For three nights this winter, Guerilla Science will explore the science of love with the Secret Garden Party as part of The Lost Lover’s Ball, February 11, 12 and 13.
Come join us as we explore the secrets of sexuality and the evolution of love deep inside the chambers of the sublime Battersea Power Station.
Friday February 11 – Inside The Pleasure Dome
10pm Dirty Quiz Guerilla Scientists Steve and Zoe will run us through tawdry trivia and filthy facts. Featuring the epidemiology of fisting, radioactive contraceptives, and the pin the penis on the brain.
10.45 Helen Arney Geek-pop songstress Helen Arney will serenade us with a set of sultry, bittersweet love songs.
Saturday February 12 – Inside The Pleasure Dome
9:45pm Drawing the architecture of love With body painting artist Carolyn Roper, we will host a life drawing class to explore the architecture of love: our model will have her viscera, bones, veins and nerves skillfully painted onto her naked skin for an exploration of the organs of romance. Medical doctor Jack Milln and artist Evy Jokovha will join us to lead the class through this unique blend of science and art.
