Festivals 2010
As summer approaches we are beavering away to bring choice science gems to the lovely music festival masses at Lovebox and the Secret Garden Party in July 2010.
Mixing music, the mind, escape, and – last but certainly not least – the universe into a summer festival melting pot is proving to be an exciting business indeed. Look out for synaesthetic collaborations with the adventure and play agency Coney, experience meditation and hypnotism , or take part in a feast of flavours with a molecular gastronomist. Or just zone out and stargaze in our travelling observatory.
Announcements soon. Keep an eye on our website or sign up for our newsletter to receive the latest updates and news on our London events.

Guerilla Carpentry
All it took was four hours for Steve to create a Reuben’s Tube, which allows you to reveal the shapes of sound waves using an array of flames. Complete pictoral record of his hands-on feat here.
It is worth pointing out that Steve the actor and Oxford graduate had never in his life performed a stitch of carpentry.
As Guerilla Science is intended to introduce non-scientists to science, this was something of the same nature, a kind of guerilla carpentry: somebody without any practical training teaching himself the DIY skills he ought to have been taught in school.

Sonic Fire at the Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club
We will make our first appearance of 2010 this Friday April 30th at the Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, in partnership with the British Science Association who will be staging an evening of games.
We are going to throw music, fire, and bass into the mix.
The newest Guerilla Scientist Steve Mould, actor and science presenter, will change the way you see sound (literally) with an impeccable Reuben’s Tube of dancing flames.
